John has been involved in the construction & property industry since graduating from Sydney University in the 1976 (Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)). This time has been spent primarily with a leading publically listed property firm, principally involved with the design and construction of projects for the open market as well as for internal group companies.
The last five years whilst working for the firm, John was focused on projects that were of a difficult nature or had special needs to bring those projects to a successful competition.
Other roles undertaken have been the setup of a project management service provider for an engineering design consultancy and providing project management services to the property industry through a consultancy firm.
In 2002, John commenced lecturing at the UNSW on a sessional basis in the faculty progressing to a part time role in September 2008.
John is now the Director of the Master of Construction Project Management Program.
