The Enterprise & Engagement Unit (EEU) plays a key role in providing marketing and promotional support to UNSW Built Environment and its programs. The EEU actively promotes UNSW Built Environment as a distinctive, innovative leader in the delivery of research and education to support the development of sustainable built environments.
Promotion of UNSW Built Environment includes the development and implementation of a range of marketing and communication strategies, events and programs, which market the Faculty and assist in building relationships with government and industry in Australia and overseas.
Our brand, UNSW Built Environment, is an extension of the perceptions and feelings formed about the Faculty, its programs, staff, activities and its performance. The EEU is responsible for creating meaningful messages about the brand through words, ideas and images that articulate and reinforce the promises the Faculty makes to partners. Furthermore, the Enterprise & Engagement Unit is responsible for ensuring that approved messages and images are delivered consistently, by every member of the Faculty.

Fran
Fran is the Manager of the Enterprise and Engagement Unit.
Graduated with a Degree in Marketing and Public Relations, as well as Business, Fran has over 20 years experience working in various public and private practices such as Government, Tourism, Health, Finance and Education.
Having owned and operated an award winning marketing and communications consultancy, she has worked with high profile celebrities and Ministers to the mums and dads of small businesses.
Her passion is red wine, chocolate and buying shoes (and not necessarily in that order). Her door is always open to assist the Faculty in its engagement needs.
Sally
Sally Watts graduated from a Media & Communications degree at UNSW in 2001, and then embarked on a career at Blue Sky Films, where she helped produce television commercials. Her next move was into the very creative field of film casting at Maura Fay where she worked on the film Star Wars Episode 3. After learning many valuable skills she applied her business acumen, and newly acquired skills, to a role in the corporate sector as a conference producer for the Australian and New Zealand governments. Tired out from all the late nights conferences entail Sally moved into advertising at Network 10, from which she entered the world of pharmaceutical sales. Most recently though, Sally worked at Hudson, recruiting strong candidates for corporate roles, this was incidentally where Sally found out about her current role, Student Recruitment Officer at UNSW Built Environment.
Andrew
After finishing his Bachelor degree at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana, Andrew spent time as a writer and a teacher in New York and Los Angeles. Soon, though, he could no longer ignore his passion for architecture, packed his suitcases, left America and headed for Australia, where he earned a Master of Architectural History and Theory at UNSW. Midway through his degree, he developed an even stronger passion for sustainability and its relationship to design-based education and went on to earn a second Master of Built Environment in Sustainable Development. During his time in Sydney he researches and writes about design trends for The Cool Hunter, an online publication. Currently working as the Community Education and Engagement Officer and running the Sustainable Living Challenge for the second year, he continues in his quest to explore the linkages between sustainability and education.
Holly
Holly is the most recent addition to the EEU, joining us to help refine and further develop the way we manage and run events. Holly has a degree in Business Administration and Marketing, from Canberra University and an Advanced Diploma in Marketing Management. Most recently Holly was responsible for events at Tennant, a well known manufacturer of cleaning equipment. Prior to working at Tennant Holly worked in several marketing administration roles in a diverse range of industries including: engineering, IT and the automotive industry.
