joined UNSW in mid 1984. Held previous appointments in the Department of Geography at McGill University and the Ministry of Transport in Victoria. Member of the Institute of Australian Geographers.

Current Projects
Dr Bruno Parolin's current projects focus on applications of GIS concepts and technology to geo-education problems and to geo-spatial analysis of educational management and planning issues.
These interests are increasingly being directed at developing regions where the need for capacity building to solve development problems is greatest. From May-August 2007 he was the School Mapping/GIS Expert on the Education Development Project, Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Lebanese Republic. During 2007-2008 he was the School Mapping expert on the BEWAP project in China. In 2008 he worked as the Senior School Location Planning Expert on the ErfKE II Project for the Ministry of Education in Jordan.
