Versions of HTML
There are a number of versions of HTML:
| HTML 1
| Is no longer used.

| HTML 2
| This is the most commonly supported version of HTML.

| HTML 3 (HTML+)
| This is becoming supported and will replace HTML 2 in 1996.

| Netscape Extensions
| Netscape is the most popular browser (80% of the market) and supports a number of
nonstandard extensions to HTML. Most but not all browsers
support Netscape Extensions.

| Microsoft Extensions
| Microsoft’s browser supports Netscape's extensions, and a number of additional
extensions to HTML. |
