The judges cited that “Jamie exhibited a sound understanding of spatial planning and a perception of volume and space. She dealt with a highly complex project and brief successfully... Her models were exceptional and her design execution showed great maturity".

About life after university

I was offered a job with PTW Architects at the graduation exhibition and accepted it. I am part of a team working on half a dozen competitions in the last six months, including the final stage of the East Darling Harbour development. It has been a great experience working on the competitions as I could explore ideas and improve essential graphic skills in a team environment.

Thinking back, why did you choose to study Interior Architecture?

I wanted to do something between architecture and interior design. The work involved in Interior Architecture is not just limited to finishing or refinishing existing spaces, it encompasses a sound knowledge of interior structures, a better understanding of spatial design – its relationship to humans and their environment.
