Bachelor of Interior Architecture
The "inside" story of design: involves the creation of spaces for living, exhibition,
performance, recreation, work and commerce - from a home in Sydney, to a hotel in Dubai.

technical drawings, CAD and model-making

acoustics, materials and structures to apply to your design work

- An appreciation of the physical, cultural and historical contexts of interior architecture and design
- An understanding of what is required in the professional industry for the delivery of design services
- The ability to work strategically and effectively across various roles including designer, project
coordinator, collaborator, consultant or team member.
Career Options
You may decide to go into
private consulting and design for the broad
spectrum of
public and private sectors that includes corporate, hotel,
exhibition, medical and retail spaces.
You may see yourself in
planning,
project management or
construction
administration.
Even if you do not want to pursue a career in the built environment,
your degree will prove invaluable in a wide range of career options such
as
event coordination and
theatre and
stage design.
Professional Recognition
The degree is recognised by the International Federation of Interior
Architects/ Designers (IFI) through the Design Institute of Australia
(DIA), the professional body representing Interior Architecture and Design
in Australia.
