Project Brief

Students work in groups to research and design an exhibition. The exhibition is based on the notion of design excellence in design/interiors of Australia within the late 20th century to the present - 1950's to today. Each group will source their own suitable location for the insertion of the exhibition in whatever form it is determined that the exhibition will take.

The pivotal components of the exhibition will be 7 items/interiors chosen by the student group through extensive research. These items/interiors should be chosen for their importance as outstanding contributions within the Australian interiors community indispensable in their contribution to Australian design. These selected items must be underpinned and qualified by group and individual student's research enquiry and ideas. These seven items must then be designed as an exhibition encapsulating the moments in time and exploring and depicting the essence at which this item became part of Australian interior architecture/design history.
