Directions to UNSW Kensington Campus, Built Environment
By Car
Head south on Anzac Parade approximately 2 km past Sydney Football Stadium.
Turn left on Barker Street.
The easiest vehicle access is through
gate 14 on Barker Street. Parking is available next to the Mechanical
Engineering Building shown below (but take note of the restrictions on visitor parking).
From the City Centre
From Circular Quay these bus routes pass through the city along Elizabeth Street
and then along Anzac Parade to the UNSW Kensington campus:
routes,
391, 392, 394, 396, 397, 398, L94 and 399. Buses from the city take around
20-30 minutes for the journey. Between 7am and 11pm a bus on one of these routes
passes the Kensington campus every 10 minutes. A taxi from the city takes around
15 minutes for the journey.
From Central Railway
From Central Railway Station, there is the UNSW Express bus, Route 891, which is pre pay only and stops along High St for return trip Route 895 picks up from outside the NIDA theatre on Anzac Pde. For non pre pay travel,
routes 391, 393, and 395 travel
to the UNSW Kensington campus. The express journey takes 15-20 Minutes the alternate routes take 20-25 minutes. Between 7am and
7pm the express pre pay busese leave every 2-3 minutes, non pre pay buses operate at approximately 10 minute intervals on these services. After 7pm
buses operate every 20-30 minutes. A taxi from Central Railway Station takes 15-20
minutes.
From Eastern Suburbs
Bus
route number 400, travelling between Burwood and Bondi
Junction passes along Anzac Parade and stops at the Anzac Gate. The journey takes
around 30 minutes. Between 7am and 7pm these buses operate every 20 minutes. A taxi
from the airport takes 20-25 minutes.
The Faculty occupies the West Wing of the Red Centre located in middle to lower campus
(see map below). Buses to and from the city stop at the Anzac Gate. From the Anzac Gate
walk straight ahead until you see a big red building on your right. Enter the glass doors
and you're there.
