Before attending UNSW, I was a student of the School of Planning at the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario. Upon completion of my degree I moved on to the MUDD program at UNSW. I felt the program would offer me a diversification skill sets that would be useful through out my career, especially since the field of urban design was in its infancy.
The program has taught me the processes to achieving a comprehensive plan that is imperative to constructing vibrant urban neighbourhoods which improve the overall quality of life within cities. London, Ontario is my hometown. I am most certainly still passionate about urban design.
Cities are very integral to economies, the environment and social interaction between people; and through this the urban designer has an important role in ensuring that cities can improve on those integral components. It is this importance that continues to give me passion about urban design and drives me to make communities better.
