The Paul Reid Lecture Professor Jon Lang's Farewell
To mark his retirement, our distinguished colleague, Professor Jon Lang will present the Inaugural Paul Reid Lecture in Urban Design on Wednesday, 12th March 2008. Professor Jon Lang's lecture entitled "Urban Design - the UNSW Experience: Shaping The Global City" will pass on his critical attitude towards designing and teaching, his untiring spirits for research, and finally the charllenges of making a better city to the upcoming urban designers. The lecture will be held in Leighton Hall, Scientia, UNSW, commencing at 6:30 pm.
Exhibition of MUDD 13 (2007-2008)
Following Professor Jon Lang's lecture, the opening of the annual MUDD13 exhibition will be held in the Faculty of the Built Environment Gallery, Red Centre West Wing at UNSW. This multimedia
exhibition will present urban design studio work from the 2007-08 students and will feature work from the International Studios held in Budapest, Hungary and Tokyo, Japan. The exhibition will open at 7:30 pm. Refreshments will be served.
MUDD 13 Folio
MUDD 13 Folio represents a collection of the best studio work undertaken by students
in the MUDD Program in 2007-2008. It features introductory design studios including the
Generic City , Penrith and Canberra projects, Australian design studios including
Randwick and Castle Hill projects and the international design studios held in
Budapest, Hungary and Tokyo, Japan. The Folio also provides student and alumni
testimonials, studio coordinator and program overviews and course reviews. MUDD 13
Folio will be available on the opening night of the Exhibition and can be downloaded
below.
