Application process
International student wishing to study at UNSW can apply online at
UNSW Apply Online.
Undergraduate students may also submit their application via
UAC
International.
Postgraduate applicants must lodge their application at least four
months prior to the commencement of the semester in which they wish to
enrol in order to allow sufficient time for their student visa to be
processed. More information is available from the
UNSW International Office.
Selection Criteria for International Students
All students must hold qualifications that are acceptable to the
University. In Australia these are normally assessed at the end of
year 12 in the secondary education system. Students who do not hold
acceptable qualifications may qualify for admission to UNSW by completing
the UNSW Foundation Studies Certificate. The Certificate is offered by the
University and is of one year duration. More information is available

Office.
English Language Requirements
All applicants for admission to UNSW programs whose first language
is not English must provide evidence that their English language ability meets
the
requirements for admission.
Accepted Tests for English Proficiency are:
- International English Language Testing Service (IELTS)
- Combined Universities Language Test (CULT)
- UNSW Institute of Languages University English Entry Course (UEEC)
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
