For the Barebones project, students measured and ‘described’ an object by producing a cardboard ‘skeleton’ from cross-sectional shapes representative of the object’s contour. Photos, diagrams and drawings served to illustrate the measuring techniques used and the steps involved in the process. As a part of the project students also collaboratively developed measuring tools in order to measure the object.
