Women in Planning
Natalie Stanowski has recently finished her degree and went straight from completing a thesis on The Marketing of Community in Master Planned Estates, to full time work for a local council. Lara Nguyen loves her work as a strategic planner at Willoughby City Council, knowing that what she is doing will have long term positive effects on the built environment and community sustainability. Lara believes that “sometimes … female planners are better able to relate to other people during community consultation.” In today’s environment, she sees no obstacles for women, and “there are plenty of female managers, including my boss!”
