Selection Criteria For Local Students

All applicants for admission to the program must lodge their application with the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) - http://www.uac.edu.au/, by the designated date in the year before intending to commence studies.School leavers will be selected on the basis of their Universities Admission Index (UAI), or its interstate equivalent.

Recommended knowledge

There are no formal pre-requisite HSC subjects for admission to the program; however, Design and Technology, Advanced English and Geography are recommended.

Selection Criteria for International Students

All students must hold qualifications that are acceptable to the University for admission. In Australia these are normally assessed at the end of year 12 in the secondary education system. Students who do not hold acceptable qualifications may qualify for admission to UNSW by completing the UNSW Foundation Studies Certificate. The Certificate is offered by the University and is of one year duration. More information is available from the UNSW International Office.
