The current Master of Architecture Program at UNSW is ceasing after 2008. Semester 1 2008 is the last intake for MArch (Post Graduate). UNSW has changed to the new Master of Architecture which is part of the new 3 + 2 structure, along with other Australian Universities.

Program Objectives

This offers three majors providing advanced understanding in Architectural Design, History/Theory and Computing. The Program is suitable for generalists as well as specialist members of the design professions wishing to develop significant leadership potentials in the profession, as well as pathways leading towards academic and research careers. The Program is cosmopolitan in its scope, and Asian-Pacific in its emphasis.

  • Architectural History/Theory (program code ARCHDS8142)
  • Architectural Computing (program code ARCHAS8142)

The Master of Architecture by coursework degrees are of one year full-time or two years part-time duration, and students may enrol either at the beginning or the middle of the year.

Program Features

Taught by the Faculty’s internationally recognized academics and renowned adjunct and visiting architects and professors, the MArch Program is an effective way of elevating design excellence and disciplinary knowledge in architecture, as well as developing future leadership capacity in the profession, both locally and internationally.
