19-20 February 2007 - Future Health Facilities Conference

(Themed 'Sustainability, Design, Financing & Research')

The second CHAA Conference was held at the University of New South Wales in Sydney on 19 & 20 February 2007. The CHAA Conference 2007 aimed to examine current and emerging problems in the sustainability, design, financing and research of health facilities.

NSW HEALTH FACILITIES

The 2006 CHAA.NET Networking Series was based around NSW Health Facilities with a focus on "New Service Models, Delivery Systems & Business Practices".

Also listed are the HCAMC Australasian series. These seminars were specifically designed as an overview of the Guidelines and their development to date. They were held in each State and Territory of Australia and in New Zealand.

From time to time ad hoc seminars were held to showcase visiting academics and industry professionals both from a local and an international perspective.

Dr Marinus Verweij, Director of the Netherlands Board for Health Facilities and Chairman, European Health Property Network (EuHPN) spoke at a Centre for Health Assets Australasia (CHAA) Seminar on “The European Health Property Network – work in progress”.

NSW HEALTH ASSET MANAGEMENT REFORM

Our first series of networking events in 2005 were designed to provide an overview of the changes happening within the Health sector and their implications to industry - these were followed by open forum sessions. Guest speakers included people at the coal face of the changes as well as those responsible for developing and implementing the policies.

10-11 November 2005 - Future Health Facilities Conference

(Themed: 'Emerging Issues in Planning Healthcare for Changing Times')

The CHAA Conference was an ideal (and fiscally responsible!) opportunity to meet, network and form partnerships with key government and health facilities industry leaders. Held in Melbourne, Victoria on 10 & 11 November 2005, it was the major conference of health facilities and capital asset management professionals in Australasia.
