I joined City Futures on July 2009 as a research associate, after completing a PhD in urban planning at the University of Melbourne and a MA in geography at the University of Tel-Aviv.

Teaching

Master of Planning: Planning Project (2009).

Research

I am currently involved in three research projects:

An ARC funded project about suburban housing renewal. This is the first study to examine the drivers of a new housing renewal industry known as 'knockdown-rebuild', whereby older dwellings are demolished, giving way to new McMansion style homes;

A longitudinal study of the experiences of tenants in Bonnyrigg public housing estate in light of the redevelopment plan which is currently underway, which would mean temporary relocation of the tenants and a significant change in the character of the place once they return.

An AHURI funded project about the implications and challenges of cross-sectoral partnerships in the provision of affordable housing.
