- Building Information Models (BIM) presentation - John Mitchell, FBE At the May HCAMC in Sydney, John Mitchell spoke to the gathered health capital managers on the latest developments in Building Information Models (BIM) and their application to health capital projects. BIM offers the opportunity for true integration of design and construction documentation with the added benefit of producing models that can be used for ongoing facility management purposes. - Special Water Issue - Protecting Our Most Precious Resource - Uniken, UNSW, May-June 2008 (Issue 46)
In this special water issue of Uniken, Dr Keiko Hirota is interviewed on how a hospital's facility management strategies can impact on water use issues (p.11). The Guidelines have been revised and the new version published December 2007. The Guidelines have been implemented with revisions in a number of areas - visit the site to see for yourself or click here to read an overview of the updates.
